There is a lot of activity going on at the club regarding archery. The la-dies group has become very active in archery and have become particularly fond of Clout Archery. A clout is just a flag stuck in the ground and from distances of up to 140 yards, you try and shoot your arrows as close to the clout (flag) as possible. The closer to the clout, the more points you score.
Target Archery Matches
The new archery target range is located next to the clubhouse (on the opposite side of the clubhouse from the skeet range!). The new range location is open and inviting. There are marked targets at 20, 30, and 40 yards. Please come by and check it out.
These are not sanctioned matches so we can really do what we want. If you want to bring playing card paper targets and tape them to the bags and have a poker match at 10 yds, we can do that too.
Re-member, NO BROADHEADS are allowed on ANY archery ranges or on ANY targets.
From time to time, target matches are scheduled based on NFAA (National Field Archery Assoc.) guide-lines. Usually these matches are shot at 20 yards on a 40cm target face. Itís a great way to test your mental toughness.

3D archery is a sport that simulates hunting. You shoot at foam animals from varying distances. There are scoring rings on the targets which coincide with hits on the vital organs of the animal. Located on the hill to the right of the road leading to the lower ranges, there are 15 shooting lanes set up. Yardage plates are located in the ground. The 3D range is like the plinking range for archery. Shoot for fun or to hone your skills. Please remember to use FIELD TIPS ONLY and do not shoot if the temps get below 45 degrees. This could cause undue damage to the targets
